I get them at the 99-Cents Only store, so on the weeks that we have superlow paychecks, I can still feed myself.golfwidowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05814109136049807372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402549770293124368.post-37527841929514216812011-03-19T17:17:49.407-05:002011-03-19T17:17:49.407-05:00I have a hard time keeping track of my food bill b...I have a hard time keeping track of my food bill because I buy different things at different places (veggies from the market, meat from one store, dairy from another, etc - I check prices all the time so I know what's cheapest where). I think we spend about $30/person each week. That's about $5 fresh veggies, $10 meat, and $15 of everything else - fruit, dairy, pasta, snackable items, frozen/canned veg, candy, bread, cereal, etc). That's not including drinks or the times we buy lunch during the workday rather than taking a snack or going without; I keep my drinks budget low by only drinking water, tea and coffee.thenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11851538869806389235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402549770293124368.post-72564112545564208022011-03-18T21:35:44.019-05:002011-03-18T21:35:44.019-05:00I probably spend about $60-$80/week, but a) I live...I probably spend about $60-$80/week, but a) I live in the Bay Area, and b) I'm lazy right now, and buy a lot of meals for one type things for lunch (and sometimes dinner). Usually, when I'm cooking more, I'm around about $50/week.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402549770293124368.post-42069632737719106292011-03-18T17:41:08.834-05:002011-03-18T17:41:08.834-05:00I dunno if the grocery stores near you have a bulk...I dunno if the grocery stores near you have a bulk section, but if they do, check out the dried soups! I get dehydrated pea soup wicked cheap from the bulk section. It's just like the cup soup except you're not paying for the cup. :)allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10377686549051270895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402549770293124368.post-2972846314293564832011-03-18T17:01:39.375-05:002011-03-18T17:01:39.375-05:00When I was shopping for one (keep in mind all have...When I was shopping for one (keep in mind all have all these weird food allergies, so I have to avoid pretty much any convenience food, like cheese, or ramen, or whatever), I spent about 35 bucks a week. I did a lot of my shopping at the Dekalb Farmers Market, which is a huge, indoor market that sells cheap veggies, international food, etc. I mostly ate rice, vegetables, and protein, plus things like nuts. I have no idea if that is a lot to spend.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402549770293124368.post-82249728112180888972011-03-18T11:21:03.334-05:002011-03-18T11:21:03.334-05:00So the Greek guy got scared off....maybe he just i...So the Greek guy got scared off....maybe he just is not ready for you yet. I agree with your friend. You are a unique woman and not everyone can understand or even be open to it. You are a good person and you do have good friends. The food items made me hungry...good luck with that. I got on the scale this morning and it said I had lost almost 6 lbs....that was a shock! But a good one.Terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01152768788895070566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402549770293124368.post-49257765200396677902011-03-18T10:11:11.841-05:002011-03-18T10:11:11.841-05:00My food budget is $40 - $60 per adult per week. I will be interested to see what everyone else spends.Erin Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07387038151574307429noreply@blogger.com
