Medication

She looked so much better. No crying, no moaning. Calm and quiet and like her old self.

“You're taking your medication, mama?”

“Yes, I am, I promise.”

“How're you feeling?”

“I'm... I'm so scared, baby. I get so scared, especially at night. I told them so they gave me medication for anxiety and that's helping.”

“I'm so proud of you, mommy. And you're not hurting as much?”

“It's better now.”

“See?! This is what happens when you take the pills they give you!”

“No, baby. This is what happens when you have a brilliant daughter and you finally actually listen to her.”

Sigh, such a silly mommy.

I changed my train ticket and am staying a few extra days. I'm just not ready to leave her yet

  4. She's so lucky to have a daughter like you. My grandma was scared at the end, too. It was incredibly difficult for me; I can't imagine what it was like for her. All I could do was be there for her. I wish you and your mama so much strength and courage and peace.

Please, don't hesitate to ask for more money if you need it to stay longer.
