The pain specialist I'm seeing in February accepts Medicare. I swear to god, I felt like dancing around the room with joy. The consult alone was going to be $200 and they told me in advance that he doesn't do any procedures or write any prescriptions at the first appointment. I'm hoping we can try something aside from or in addition to pills (epidurals, nerve blockers, etc.) and god only knows what that would cost.

Dude, I want this so damn badly. (NSFWish?) It's, seriously, the coolest sex toy I've ever laid eyes on.

Three greatest words ever: we have heat. Not minimizing the awesomeness of, “I found money,” “it's my treat,” “$1 draft beer,” or “you tested negative.” But they're pretty fucking great words, nonetheless.

So, I was horribly bummed by the discovery that Yahoo is shutting down del. icio.us – which I use frequently. I'm moving my bookmarks over to Diigo now. But have decided to go through them all, one by one, and make sure they're still active/relevant. That's 2,000+ bookmarks! But I'm happily doing it because a) a ton of the links are dead and b) I've rediscovered and reread a bunch of awesome stuff.

I went to a Yule party. My roommate and I were ecstatic at the prospect of tasting turducken...only for it to not be made. Blast! The food was amazing, though, regardless. Goose, lamb, duck, stuffing, asparagus, red-skinned potatoes, two kinds of cheesecake, pecan pie, a fully stocked bar... And a cheese platter that made the angels weep. There were at least 10 varieties of cheese on that fucker! It was an orgiastic feast of delights. So, yes, wonderful food and wonderful company. Great night, if you ask me! I'm really glad my roommate bullied me into going. I've been isolating – due to pain rather than depression – and that's just no good for me.
