I get to keep my cats!!! The husband has a bit of an allergy but as long as I keep the cats in my room and vacuum regularly, they’re fine with it. Oh my god, I’m so incredibly relieved. I was researching no-kill shelters and feeling like shit about it. But I just got the go-ahead. Yaaaaaaaaaaay!
My electricity is disconnected until Monday. Not on Monday, until Monday. It got shut off yesterday morning and will cost over $300 to reconnect. And I’m not even going to tell you how overdrawn my bank accounts are due to overdraft fees and bounce charges. My life and I have reached epic levels of suckage, I swear to god.
Necessity being the mother of invention…it occurred to me that my garage (which is across the lot from the homes) might be on a separate circuit. So I plugged my laptop into the outlet in there and ding ding ding! it worked. So, at least, I can charge it and watch movies once it gets too dark to read or actually do anything that requires sight.
On the plus side, I’m getting a lot of reading done! Always looking for that silver lining.
