Bits & PIeces

• I took “before” pictures of the house. I felt sick to my stomach without even showing them to anyone. I don’t know if I can handle ever sharing them here. Not even if I had these amazing, spotless “after” photos to follow up with. It’s just the thing, you know? That one thing I can’t handle people knowing about.

• It is absolutely astonishing the number of guys who want to have sex with strangers but don’t want to use condoms.

Sonya: “and thats what i need, a big sturdy dude, both emotionally and physically. so i can just climb on and yell ‘YEEEE HAW!!!’”

• Today’s 01/02/2010. 0102/2010. Rad. And “racecar” spelled backwards is “racecar.” Your fun fact for the day.

• I just took a bunch of canned artichoke hearts, covered them in olive oil, salt, and pepper, and chucked them in a 400 degree oven. Basically doing exactly what I do with the Brussels Sprouts. I have no idea if it’ll work but I’m calling it a gastronomical experiment. Plus they were bland so it’s either going to be awesome or no loss. I’ll know in 15 minutes if it was a bad move. ETA: Not awful, not great. But better than they were before so I call it success.

  1. Oh, hell, I wish I'd seen this earlier.

Put a can of drained artichoke hearts into a Tupperware. Cover them with zesty Italian dressing. Freeze. (Trust me - it opens them up so they suck up more flavor.) Defrost. Try not to eat them all at once.
