Big News!

The ball somehow came unscrewed and fell off my lip piercing. Do you know how hard it is to find a tiny metal ball, period, much less in a house that looks like this one!? Egads. No luck so far. So annoying.

I had a lunch date with a girl who drove 125 miles to take me for sushi. It was a little awkward in the beginning but fun overall. I think friends only, though. We might go on a random adventure and take stupid pictures next month. So we’ll see if that happens. It’d be nice to get a friendship out of it.

Today I bought 10 pounds of Brussels sprouts. You read that correctly. TEN MOTHERFUCKING POUNDS! I get obsessed with certain foods sometimes and right now it’s roasted Brussels sprouts. Which is better than a million other foods I’ve been obsessed with in the past. Roasted Brussels sprouts obsession > stuffed crust pizza obsession.

I also went to the library and got a card and a pile of books. I was really disappointed in the selection of my city's library. Sad. I was able to find a few of the books I wanted though. And some classics I've wanted to read for years.

My big news…
My mom got transferred out of the hospital today! She’s now in a nursing home. Worried that it was a Shady Pines (or worse, Sunny Pastures) I looked them up. And they’re actually listed in several magazines and newspapers as one of the best in the state. They’ve had three marks against them and the California average is 13! So, hey, looks like she’s in a good place! That was a massive relief.
